Many people secretly long to “be creative” and explore oil painting skills but don’t know how to take the plunge. Putting brush to canvas can be intimidating until you learn just a few confidence-building skills.

This workshop is for beginners who don’t know how to become a painter. Spend a full day with Abigail Barrett in-studio at Rogue Begonia, and you’ll learn:

• The basic tools, supplies, and equipment you’ll need to get started

• How to pack a plein-air kit and ensure you’ll have everything you need to paint on-the-go

• A basic lexicon of relevant language, key concepts, and practices

• Basic color

• To tap local and national resources and instruction to get you on the mastery curve

• To set realistic and practical goals and the right environment to get you painting regularly

The class is limited to 6 participants.
